Our first project is to design the university of Dammam brand guideline.
Today discussion was about dealing with non graphic designers client. people who have nothing to do with design but yet have to work with it. Here are some points from what we talked about:
1. Person who hired you is not your client.
2. Don't address people from top to bottom things have to work horizontally not vertically.
3. You need to believe in what your doing and to get people to buy into whatever you're asking them to in order to get the best collaboration of your work.
4. You can use templets and forms to refuse the mess of designs.
Before designing the guideline you need to ask yourself:
Who are the people who are making these stuff?
Who are our clients?
What is the actual problem?
You need to push it up the it will come down by default.
